The Campaign for
Dr. Johnson’s House

We seek to raise $19 million for purposes of acquiring, retrofitting, and equipping the adjoining building. If we succeed in this endeavor, American Friends will have utterly transformed visitors’ experience of the House. It would allow not only for handicap access, but also additional space for education, exhibition, retail, and offices, freeing up one and a half floors for further museum display. It's a dramatic opportunity for the long-term future of the House.
